About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I want a life less ordinary
ABOUT ME
Currently living in Japan, employed as an Assistant Language Teacher working in Elementary/Junior High schools within the Yakumo-cho district. I've been here in Hokkaido for a year now, and I get the impression that I will be here (in some form of employment or another) for some time to come.
I chose Hokkaido for the snow. I love snowboarding, and Hokkaido has the best snow that I have experienced to date. But, even without the snow, Hokkaido is an outdoor wonderland.
I'm into photography, and hoping that it can one day lead to something more serious.. But, will probably just end up working as an Engineer.
PHILOSOPHY
I don't want to be a sad old man with nothing but a house and a career to show for his life. It's not the life that I want, and I'm (so far) doing a good job of avoiding that.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've hosted occasionally (living in a rural town in Hokkaido didn't have many visitors), and done my best to show the natural beauty of where I lived. It's hard to find these places unless you've lived there for some time.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Sadly, I haven't had a lot of surfers, but they have varied. Some good, some great, some that weren't.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Two years living in a rural town in Hokkaido was amazing, loved (almost) every day of it.
