About Me

Malaysia raised, Singapore based.

After graduating in February 2016, I started my lifelong dream of seeing the world, one state at a time. I hope you can join me on this journey of leaving my footsteps around the world :)

I write at http://pekyj.blogspot.com and you can find me on Instagram as well (http://www.instagram.com/pekyj/).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm still staying with my family so I'm unable to accept guests. However, I would love to meet new people from all around the world when I'm travelling!

Interests

I use my blog as an outlet for my writings, poetry, reflections on life and bettering myself as a person in general. You can find my writings at http://pekyj.blogspot.com

My passion for social media and advertising also landed me my first full time job as a digital marketer in the travel industry.

I enjoy street photography and posing for portrait photography as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to Chinese and Taiwanese music; my current favourite singer is Eric Chou (Zhou Xing Zhe / 周興哲).

I prefer a good book to movies anytime but when forced to, I watch mostly Taiwanese movies (You're The Apple of My Eye, Our Times, At Cafe 6).

Books regarding human trafficking excite me because I'm a huge human rights advocate. A book that sparked my interest and never left my mind since I read it at 13 is 'They Called Me Red' by Christina Kilbourne.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm currently embarking on the most amazing thing I've ever done: a solo trip to a country whose language I don't speak as a 21st birthday present to myself.

Teach, Learn, Share

You want, then I teach you Singlish lor. Hahaha.

On a more serious note, I'm excellent at English and fluent in Chinese. I'm active on social media platforms as well and can share a few tricks with you if you wish :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Taiwan
