About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Meet interesting people, and help people who are searching for a couch/bed in Berlin
ABOUT ME
I'm an M.Sc. student in Freie Universität Berlin, currently studying a lot and working on a big project. I like science (all fields), history (especially German history), discussing politics and exploring my surroundings. I'm also a big Sci-Fi fan, and I can talk about Star Trek or B5 for hours :P
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I can give a couch or bed when I'm in Berlin, and always check for a couch in a place I'm planning to stay for konger than a day.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had a few people staying at my place, and some people hosting me. Most of the remained friends with me to this very day. It's really nice that you can meet a complete stranger that just needs a place to sleep at, and make new friends this way.
Interests
I'm a Science geek - I study Physical Chemistry in university, and like to code on my free time (I'm a die-hard linux user), watching Sci-Fi films and series (Yes, I too hate the Star Wars prequels. George Lucas - you murdered my childhood!) - Back in Israel I participated in Sci-Fi and Fantasy conventions on a regular basis.
Other than that, I'm really into politics. I lean hard to the left, but I tend to have long interesting conversations and debates with all the political spectrum (except real Fascists - with them, I don't even try). I'm an activist in that area in my country, Israel, for many (many!) years.
Last but not least - I'm a huge fan of my football and basketball club: Hapoel Tel-Aviv. I go to any game I can, and my mood is profoundly affected by the week's scores.

Music, Movies, and Books
I really like classical music. Mostly Baroque, but also romantic (I'm a huge Beethoven fan) and some more modern music.
Teach, Learn, Share
As a Chemistry M.Sc. who also spent a lot of time studying Physics, I have much to say about these areas of knowledge (from Theoretical Physics to practical Organic Chemistry, Pharmacology and Biology). Also - being a computer geek is helpful - I really like introducing people to Linux and free software :)
I'm also very intersted in History, and by living in Israel for the past, well, my life - and by being apolitical activist here, I can share a lot about the history and politics of this very complicated place.
