ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Singapore, but managed to sneak in a few formative years in Canada. I've seen a little bit of the world, including places like Mt Kailash in Tibet, Incredible India, and the insides of a few heads. :)

I like to call myself an artist, and now I can formally call myself a writer. I'm a listener more than I talk, partially because when I open my mouth, jokes travel out at speeds a normal person usually find too hard to catch.

I'm a vegetarian person who has given up meat not because I want to torture plants instead, but I really wanted Vegan powers that one of the evil X boyfriends got in that Scott Pilgrim movie.

PHILOSOPHY

I think the world is part tolerance, part intolerance, and all human, we can't all be saints, nor all devils, and that some where along the way, we learn our lessons on this earth, shoulder our responsibilities and carry our disappointments in our stride, and get our fill of joy and happiness at the same time, and live it all with grace.

While we are on this planet, living this life, we learn to give our life appropriately, establish our boundaries so that we can guide others and be ourselves at the same time, and do what we can to let everyone have their share of happiness and their stake of sky.

The world is a better place, one person at a time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

After having "accidentally" couch surfed once, I now know that I'd like participate by facilitating a part of your journey and experience here.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couch surfed together with a friend, Eve, in Penang in Mahi's place once, and I can tell you, it was great! I got to know our host more and stayed at her place with a fabulous view and sea breeze, with a grand green mountain just behind the apartment and we all got to do some things for the first time! I think this is part of what couch surfing is about - the making and sharing of magical experiences for people!

Interests

Art - drawing, painting, sculptures, photography.
Comics - loads of them.
Music, more towards classical, opera and new age, pop. Actually, pretty much everything except hard metal.
Walking, travelling, bike riding, roller blading, zip-lining, vertical crawling.
Vegetarianism.
Self-development, fulfilling one's potential, meditation and service. Coaching.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen some incredible things involving people. And realized how very fine the line between the unknown and the known is. People have more power than they even suspect, but much of it is squandered.

Teach, Learn, Share

I used to think that someday, I'd be able to teach something to someone. But now, I see it's more like passing the torch of something I learnt from others that have gone before me, and helping people see the world through their eyes.

But practically, if you want, I could make you some tea. And we can learn a little bit of art together.
