ABOUT ME

I graduated university in 2007 with a degree in Marketing. I immediately began working as a paper-pusher for an advertising firm in Dearborn, Michigan. In September 2008, fed up and miserable, I quit my job to travel and enjoy life.

I've lived in Connecticut, California, Detroit and Memphis and have traveled a good portion of the US. I love roadtrips and try to drive everywhere I can.

PHILOSOPHY

DIG IT ALL.

Try to learn to breathe deeply, really to taste food when you eat it, and when you sleep, really to sleep. Try as much as possible to be wholly alive, with all your might, and when you laugh, laugh like hell, and when you get angry, get good and angry. Try to be alive. You will be dead soon enough.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

"Amazing" can be a lot of different things. Here are a few experiences I've had that are really special to me:

- Slept on the roof of an apartment building in the Upper West Side of Manhattan after a great party. Awoke to the sun rising between the buildings and water towers surrounding me. Best sleep I've ever had.

- Celebrated the Festes de Sant Joan in Ciutadella, Minorca with my oldest & closest friends. Caroused all night. Touched the chests of the ceremonial horses as they reared on their hind legs. Kissed the donkey leading the ceremony twice.

- Hiked the mountains in Northern Italy.

- Gambled all night with my brother on a casino-boat floating on the Mississippi river.

- Helped build homes in Tijuana, Mexico. Camped out every night, showered with buckets of water, learned a bit of soccer.

- Relaxed with my Dad and watched the DVD footage of a Led Zeppelin concert he was at when he was my age (Madison Square Garden).

- Experienced the 2009 Gentse Feesten with my CS hosts and fell in love with Belgium.

- Snuck (broke) onto a rooftop in Paris with an amazing grafitti artist and his friends and all together enjoyed a 360 degree view of the city at night. Relaxed and shared a smoke and stories in the evening air.
