CURRENT MISSION

Seeking authenticity and truth.
Some thoughts:
Recently I find myself repeating the words "I have no clue what I'm doing with my life" to people. The truth is that I actually do though. It feels this way when I compare my desires and wishes, hopes and the different pathways of accomplishing them to the "muggle world" around me. By "muggle world" I mean the general narrative we are fed in the West from an early age on - we accomplish certain things and get various rewards for them and then "ta -da" we become who we are. A process that feels ingrained in me by social construction; we do a bunch of things in order to finally "be someone". The reality is though, that we already are "someones" from birth on, that it is only once we are truly connected to who we are from the inside out - the doing will flow naturally out of us and will be more deeply connected to our truth. Inside out - not outside in.
I have done a lot of things. Some really amazing, incredible and exciting things. And yet somehow each time I made that goal, got the gold star did that external thing - I felt the same way, frustrated and sort of like "so this is it?". What I am doing now is trying to focus more on figuring out who I am, trying to find my authentic way of expressing and being, versus what I'm supposed to do. Focusing on being and not doing. Authenticity, truth, humility, graciousness, light and love. Because everything is simultaneously bigger than ourselves and that same grandness and greatness is within each of us.

I love music, dance, theater. Anything that is created out of passion and love is what I can relate to. I grew up in a small village in Germany, German father - South African mother. Moved to Austin, TX with part of my family when I was 13. Have been living in NYC for 11 years.

I'm still new to the project, but I am thoroughly excited to be exploring possiblities worldwide, making new friends everywhere I go and finding ways to connect with people!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

While in the NYC cast of STOMP got to stomp on top of the Empire state building for a press gig for Stomps 20 year anniversary when the Empire state building lit up red in honour of Stomp and last year I got to sing at the top of my lungs during a show at the Guggenheim Museum in NYC. Blessed.
