Overview
About Me
I'm Penelope, from the UK. Looking to enjoy a real adventure and meet like-minded people from all over on my way. Life can change so easily if you just make things happen with a positive mindset. I believe in living alternatively and try to live as nomadic as possible. Connecting with the universe/one consciousness. Couchsurfing for a sense of freedom with the opportunity for some amazing meet ups.
I have enormous love for spirituality, vegan cooking, nature, sustainable/independent living and all the creative and wonderful things this entails, pushing personal boundaries, fun, laughter and whiskey.
Right now I want to be on the road, meeting new people and having fun, sharing good vibes and building a beautiful life. It amazes me how much visiting other places can teach you, and completely change your perceptions about many things.
Looking for couches to surf to get an authentic view on local and international culture, and also for meet ups, as I'm travelling solo and am keen to be social on my way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to couchsurf at the moment as I believe that it's the best way to travel. It's great to arrive in a place and feel like you belong somewhere, and the hosts always have great ideas of where to visit, maybe places you wouldn't know about on your own... It's just great to meet people from around the world and experience something different, while making new friends.
Interests
My main love is nature... being in it, being inspired by it...
I care passionately about animal welfare and also those in the world who are sadly forced to leave their country and seek refuge elsewhere. I've taken part in projects to help, and will do so in the future also.
I love music and festivals, and can definitely say the best time of my life was at an amazing festival in Budapest. I like how festivals take you away from 'normal' life and into another world for a few days.
I also want to learn more about permaculture and sustainable living so badly... I feel we owe it to our world, and to ourselves as a society
I've also gone from being useless in the kitchen to really enjoying cooking vegan/sometimes veggie food, and baking... every girl loves cakes, surely? So I'm really interested to share recipes with people from all over, so I can add to my list of things to prep... not that my list is that long yet!

Music, Movies, and Books
I really enjoy classic rock, 80s alternative/new wave and electronica. The list goes on, I'm sure you and I would have something in common :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The thing I feel is most amazing to me that I've done is volunteering at a street dog sanctuary in Thailand. After falling in love with an Indian street dog, who I had to leave behind; helpless, heartbreaking... I then decided to take action to make changes to other dogs' lives. If anyone's interested in helping/donating, here's the link, by the way :)

Teach, Learn, Share
I am experienced in gardening/land clearance, and was working professionally at this before leaving the UK.
I'd love to cook for you, or share recipes with you!
Happy to help with animal care, for example dog walking/feeding/generally loving your pet!
I love cleaning (strange as it sounds) and can finally say I'm a pro after working in housekeeping these last few months... if you'd like any help around your place?
Anything else... just ask :)
