About Me
Hey! I’m Peng from Malaysia 🇲🇾
I’m a doctor by training, but outside the hospital I’m usually chasing trails, mountains, or good food.
I love running (especially trail and ultra distances - yes, the kind where you question all your life choices halfway through), lifting weights, and being outdoors. I travel quite a bit for races and adventures, so Couchsurfing feels like the perfect way to meet people beyond the usual tourist bubble.
I’m easygoing, respectful, and pretty independent: happy to hang out, grab food, or just do our own thing if that’s your vibe. I enjoy good conversations, random life stories, and local recommendations you won’t find on Google.
Not a party animal, but not boring either. I appreciate simple things: nature, movement, good laughs, and solid coffee ☕
If you host me, I promise to be tidy, low-maintenance, and grateful - and I might even share some running or travel stories if you ask 😄
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing to meet interesting people, hear good stories, and experience places like a local instead of just passing through as a tourist. I’m easygoing, respectful, and happy to connect over food, walks, or simple conversations.
Interests
Simple pleasures matter to me: good food, decent coffee, fresh air, and a bit of movement each day. If that sounds like your vibe, we’ll probably get along well.

Music, Movies, and Books
My music taste is pretty mixed and mood-based. I enjoy:
EDM
Pop & R&B
Workout playlists
Throwback hits
Easy listening/acoustic while traveling or winding down
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I completed a 50km trail ultramarathon while living with Type 1 diabetes. It took planning, patience, and a lot of mental resilience, and I’m really proud of it.
Teach, Learn, Share
I believe everyone has something to teach and something to learn. Through Couchsurfing, I enjoy sharing experiences, learning from others, and having genuine exchanges beyond just travel.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share laughs, stories, and easygoing company =D
I’m happy to share stories about Malaysia, my culture, food, and travel experiences, as well as learn about yours too. :)
