About Me
Hello everyone!!
Peniche OceanWatch is an environmental project involved in regional development, digital transformation and ocean initiatives. Our efforts are addressed to establish a circular economy by recycling ocean waste, through an household and international team of ambitious young people who wish to create a new sustainable world. The main objective is to bring local and international researchers, students, entrepreneurs, established businesses, and public sector individuals under one roof and empower them to pursue innovative solutions related to ocean and societal challenges – be they local, regional, national, or global.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The team on ground counts 3 three people: Vincenzo(Italian), TG(Swedish) and Petros(Dutch); supported by a group of 10 experts. The project was born in 2019 thanks to some people who travelled around the world and understood the damages of ocean waste on environment. Everyone here has been a couchsurfer for many years, using this platform to make real ad deep contacts with the cultures of countries we've visited. We're perfectly aware of benefits carried by cultural exchanges, and we think Couchsurfing is the best way to have them!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Each component here on ground has a large background of amazing experiences. TG has been working in the most different conditions around the wide world, Vincenzo has been travelling on the Amazon river and Petros has been living in a pretty camper driving wherever he wants!
Teach, Learn, Share
We speak several language, so it won't be difficult to communicate. There is always music in our venue, but it's easier to find us surfing!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Our venue is based in an harbour, which has been fixed to allow people live inside. We've 6 beds available, 2 in a private room and 4 in a shared one. You can be our host in change of 3 hours a day of easy work in the harbour, since we're still working to make our venue a great center where organise meetings addressed to students, teachers and social enterprises. We have the ocean 1 minute away by walk, with long white beaches to surf!
