Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
finding the g-major chord - on the piano and in my life
ABOUT ME
If languages were not so incredibly interesting to study and I wasn't so passionate about researching their make-up, I'd ride a unicycle around the world, with a backpack full of books and face paint on my back, or I'd be a doctor.
PHILOSOPHY
shards of glass on the sidewalk can tell more than paintings in a gallery, and very few things cannot be fixed with a roll of duck tape
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Surfing and hosting, bit by bit...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
YES! ;) we couchsurfed through the UK , Canada and the USA, and now the Netherlands - people letting us stay with them was in a way the most amazing part of it...
we've also had our fair share of guest on our little blue couch called "Dagobert" and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience! We think that's, at least in part, due to the fact that we tend to take in those whose requests let us feel that we'll click with them, so we are not particularly good at replying to generic messages that could have been send to *anyone*, and, therefore, we'll keep it that way. I know that sometimes means we miss out on meeting great people...don't let that be you - let us know why you chose us!

Books
are my constant companions - there are simply too many to list.
Currently I am rereading "The Kingkiller Chronicles", and listening to the audiobook to the teenage phantasy series "Farseers" by Robin Hobb that surprisingly really got me hooked. I am, together with Udo, working my way through "Gödel, Escher, Bach", and am always interested in good crime fiction.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

+ rode a unicycle up the Schlossberg, a very steep hill in Graz
+ have nursed a calf through its first months
+ dived in the underwater caves of Mexico
+ finished my MA thesis
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you a bit of juggling and how to ride a unicycle, how to crochet warm hats and make tasty vegetarian food.
I'd love to learn more languages (I have always wanted to be able to count to ten in 30 languages by the time I'm thirty), play the piano, jump up two pallets on my unicycle, draw faces in a way that doesn't represent people with one eye twice the size of the other...
What I Can Share with Hosts
Stories, Philosophies and cups and cups of tea and coffee ;.)
Also, I am a decent chef and would be more than happy to prepare dinner for us - colorful pancakes included ;)
