I'm 34 and enthusiastic about life in general! I love food, eating and cooking, but mostly eating!
I also love climbing, I discovered the sport just over a year ago and it has changed my small world and hopefully it will make it a bigger world.
I'm passionate about music. Most genres float my boat, but particularly reggae, drum and bass, soul and Indie/rock. I don't play an instrument, but I would like to make the time to change that. I am always dancing and singing, not with any skill, but what I lack in skill I make up for with enthusiam! Host me and I will teach you some of my signature moves 🤗
I also enjoy yoga, although my cobra is more of a slug, it's a working progress. Oh and animals, yep, love them! Spiders can keep a distance, but the rest of them are wonderfully innocent and hilarious to me. Not that I am implying that spiders are conniving buggers, but I just don't trust them on the same level as everything else and I definitely don't find them in the slightest bit funny.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Ok, so I'm 34 and it has taken a while, but I have finally plucked up the courage to go travel the world. When I say I have found the courage I am still absolutely cacking myself (I promise I won't do that on your sofa though)
I heard about this website and it sounds perfect. I love people and learning what makes them tick. Humans to me are complex, beautiful and intriguing and I'd like to meet as many of you as possible! I'm not after a free ride, although I am hoping couch surfing will help my funds as apparently I am too old to work in a lot of the countries I am visiting. At 34? Too old? That is crazy to me, but it is what it is! So yeah, this sounds ideal, but most importantly the hosts I have seen on you tube seem so kind and this feels me with reassurance that the world is a friendly place that I don't need to fear. The thought of showing up in a country by myself is very daunting, but to know I can stay with like minded people, who have travelled and been where I am now is too exciting for words!
I aim to document all that I can and hope to inspire others who are my age and have a lot of folk telling them they are too old and settled to up sticks and bugger off around the world. I want to prove it can be done and also offer my home to people like me that need to save where they can on their travels and relish in the company of others and enrich their experiences as much as I hope mine will be by you guys! Honestly just writing this is getting me so pumped for my adventure, I think my head may pop when I board that first flight! 🍾

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Biked from London to Paris last year, with 3 of my best friends in memory of my dear sister Lucie and their lovely brother Simon. We raised over £3000 for MIND and Horizon UK, a PTSD charity and I am still very proud of this acheivement, even though my butt and knees hated me during and for some time after.
