Turn that huge pile of copies and blank sheets on my desk into something roughly resembling a Phd thesis

ABOUT ME

Uuuh well. As you can see from my mission, I am currently struggling with my thesis and really happy for any occasion to get away from it.

I maintain a wide range of interests (see below). All this nerd stuff correlates with me not exactly being a party girl, but more of the introverted type. However, that doesn't mean I'm shy. Or that I don't talk :)

I keep looking for things I think I can't do, and then do them anyway.

Right now, I can't offer a couch, but I'd be more than happy to show people around in Frankfurt or just have some good coffee.

Intereses

Languages. Poland. Polish Language (kinda obvious). I also spent a year in France (Strasbourg) and really liked it there, so I'd love to travel to France again :)

Additionally, I kind of live in the internet subculture, though I'm not a techie.
I used to read quite a lot, but now switched to mostly newspapers. I like to do sports and took up Ju-Jutsu classes some months ago.

Música, películas y libros

Music: depending on my mood Industrial/Metal/Ska, strange coverbands (Eläkeläiset, JBO, BossHoss), Soundtracks, and some of the older stuff.

My taste of films resembles that of an average 30 year old guy. Star Trek, Star Wars, Airplane 1 + 2, Back to the Future. Also some of the more serious stuff, like Taxi Driver or german movies directed by Fritz Lang.

The list of books I read includes but is not limited to books by Terry Pratchett, Rafik Schami, Arthur Schnitzler, Fritz Riemann and Rainer Maria Rilke.

Sometimes I just travel somewhere and meet people I only know over the internet. Oh, wait...

Hah. I tend to be a smartass, so no matter how strange the topic, odds are I can tell you something about it you didn't know.

I'm quite good at languages and film trivia. Also I know a thing or two about world politics and literature. And additionally, I'm really interested in psychology and why communication between human beings so often goes wrong.
