Whether it's climbing a mountain, travelling to a new city, exploring a new area by bicycle, camping under the stars or cooking a new meal I'm always in search of my next adventure.
I love entertaining, exploring new cultures and meeting new people. I also enjoy quiet activities like reading, watching foreign films and knitting all while cozied up next to my black lab, Roxy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My best travel experiences hands down have been while exploring new places with locals. Several years ago while travelling in Rome my friend and I were trying to find a restaurant in a travel guide-- the restaurant ended up being out of business, but in the process we met some locals at a gelato shop. We started talking, and they ended up taking us for an amazing tour of their beautiful city. They showed us things that aren't in the travel guides and shared so much about their culture. Since then, I've always appreciated the chance to explore a new place with a local. And the same goes for when I'm hosting -- I love having the opportunity to share my beautiful city with others.
