About Me

ABOUT ME

My name is Hendrik. I'm German, born in Bremen living in Stuttgart. Just normaly down-to-earth gay guy. I have finished my bachelors' in engineering by the end of 2014 and Master's in 2019. Like most couchsurfers I would consider myself as open-minded, curious and easy going. My hometown is Bremen but Stuttgart is where I am work and live since 2015 and I like it!! I used to stay twice in different parts of the US each time for several month so I kind of know how it feels living at unformiliar places...

PHILOSOPHY

Freethinker.
Live, and let live.
Try to keep an open mind: Must we always take it for granted and think it’s „normal" just because that's what we’ve always done?
Be critical.
Promote people with high sense for ethics.
Concentrate on the little things of every day that make you happy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I was in Texas in 2013, I regularly attend CS gatherings in DFW which was fun! I also hosted a few times. My first time I surfed was in Lyon in 2014. I use couchsurfing primarily to meet like-minded people to make friends and occasionally to surf or host.

Interests

There is nothing I would say I won't enjoy to get to know. I love fitness, road trips, to be outdoors, bicycling, western riding, music. I don't mind beer or wine at all. I'm also passionate when it comes to cooking and experimenting with wholefood and vegan cuisine (even though I eat dairy).
I like to share ideas and to be inspired by other people about fairly everything.....

Music, Movies, and Books

When I was younger I was totoally into Alternative, Indie, Post-Harcore music. Today I'm rather into EDM and electronic music oder alternative pop.
I'm interested in nutrition and read a few books about that subject.
Latest books I read were MANAGING ONESELF by Peter Drucker, Holacracy by Robertson.

Teach, Learn, Share

Ever tried car sharing? It's very big in Germany and other european countries. Trains are just a rip off. Besides, I just love car driving and want to remain in control and stay flexible on the road. I usually share my long distance rides online to find people who chip in for gas. I have done this for years now and it's been much fun and a gain for everyone participating. Like on CS, you meet all kinds of interesting and different people. See my profile on blablacar https://www.blablacar.de/user/show/10f29a80-38ce-11e3-a000-00012a3c2d14
