In Argentina and Brasil atm - will be back in Oktober

Hey, im Pepa and I was born in Berlin, but now I live in Rome. I'm well know among my friends for my laugh, that apparently makes others laugh with me - which is very handy when I tell jokes. I try to make the best out of every situation and see things from a new perspective, thought-wise and through the lens of my camera.

My passion is what makes us- as living beings unique and in comparison to that- what combines us, makes us the same. Thus I love stories, told by a person, a body, a place. The translation of a story though a picture, movie, book or song. I look for honesty in a world where it is too easy to play a role for others. I like asking, listening and comparing with my own experience. Looking for the beauty in little things that are easily overlooked. For the structure in chaos, the chaos within structure.

I enjoy translating whatever I perceive. Not only from one language to a diferent one, but for example from an image, to sound, to movement ect.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

People are what make a place amazing, so it is my pleasure to make new friends and share experiences. I greatly enjoy trying everything new and unknown to me, if that is walking down an unknown street, smelling an unfamiliar sent, tasting things that I have never heard of before. Sharing is caring or as I prefer it in Spanish:

Compartir es el secreto de vivir.

So I share a laugh and a few thoughts and I'm interested in what you have to share.

Interests

One of my greatest interests is experiencing new things- new cultures, food, traditions, landscapes and thoughts- and comparing them with what I already know. But apart from that i enjoy massaging, photographing, dancing and almost everything that has to do with art and science. Especially music and shortfilms are what get me pumped up.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

political/ social:
-I went to Ruanda with UNESCO because of the genocide 20 years ago, in 1994- this is probably one of the most grave experiences i've had. Seeing, sharing and comparing what man is capable of and teaching others about it, to prevent other genocides or at least get attention on this topic, that most chose to ignore.
- Studying psycology so far in Germany, Argentina and now Italy, getting to know the differences in our educacion and especially the sexual education

artistic:
- organising an audiovisual project called tenedor de PeZcade based on improvising upon your first impresion of something
- I dance Contact Improvisation in every place I go to

Teach, Learn, Share

- would love to make a little movie or a little project of some sort together
- cooking and baking together: just to throw together a few things and look what comes out.
- a few tips and tricks in photography to share
- I'm quite a crafty person, so if you need help with anything small and fizzelly, dont hesitate to ask me
- I've also been though a massage training, giving and getting one makes me focus and calm down
-singing and dancing of course- lets either make some music together or go somewhere with live music!
