About Me

I'm Pepe, one of the few and the proud Mexicans in Africa (really...there are only 921 in the whole Continent). I love to meet new people and exchange stories about life.

A (now hippy) lawyer by trade but a rockstar by heart. I love all the simple pleasures in life, a great sunset over a beer, a rainbow during a run, or a tequila shots for no reason.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One of the biggest struggles during my earliest travels was money, so I only traveled to places where I could stay with friends to save on hostels. That provided a different type of adventure as I got to taste local homemade food, meet local people (and learn about the real life there) and overall have a deeper cultural immersion. I want to return the favor to all those friends (or friends of friends) who changed completely my travel adventures.

Interests

I am an all around person, I like to experience new things all the time and get myself into as many adventures as possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music is Rock, which I also love to play in the guitar followed by salsa, which I love to dance.
Huge fan of historic novels and suspense stories.
My movie taste is the best part, I (truly) like the worst and most idiotic movies in the world (zombies, sharks or bazookas)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last year I completed the St. James Way (Camino de Santiago). A 900 km hike across northern Spain from the border of France to the ocean.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love music, I can teach you a couple songs in the guitar, some salsa moves or send Mexican food recopies.

Would love to hear your story, and learn about your the local culture and life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a super chill person, happy to chill at home and get to know each other or dance the night away until sunrise. I love to learn about other cultures and share a bit of mine.
