About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Circumwalkagate Central America

ABOUT ME

I have way more education than I know what to do with. I love to travel and I love meeting new people, especially backpackers. You are my heroes. I enjoy an ecclectic array of activities, such as: sports, television, chatting, e-mail, blogging, reading, movies, learning, speaking Spanish, laughing, etc. I'll try anything once and most things twice. I'm pretty easy going, but not lazy... at least not very lazy. I like to be active.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that there is a harmonious force that joins all things in the world together. I try to find my place in that energy and flow with it. We all have goals, and, as Paolo Coehlo writes, "the universe will help the person that truely follows his heart."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am more than happy to offer the world of travelers a place to stay. All I ask is a couch in return and a contact for the future. Please give a few days notice; it is difficult to accomodate people when they ask the day before.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I actually got both ends back to back. I stayed with a great host in Costa Rica for eight days. She made our trip easy and much more fulfilling. Two days after getting back to my own couch, I had the pleasure of hosting a surfer. He basically took over our kitchen for two days. It was great!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was in Segovia, Spain at the palace of the queen. This palace as a plethora of fountain from the barroque period. We went there the day that they turned on four of them for the public. Each one was an amazing spectacle, but the last one they turned on was definately the coup de grace. The attendant got on the microphone and announced, "you may want to keep your distance, this fountain, depending on the wind, can get you pretty wet. They turned it on and at first it was just a giant stream of water that shot up 70 feet in the air. It grew to about 100 feet up and the wind started to pick up. The water started to fall around the fountain and everybody scattered, except me. I stayed and let the water pour down on me in front of hundreds of people doing poses and soaking in the joy of life. The fountain is called "Fame", and that day a little fell on me, too.
