HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Old friends for over 15 years who had been hosting informally for a while before joining CS. Since joining, it has at times become overwhelming due to the large number of couch requests we receive. Nonetheless, please do not hesitate to contact us if you need a couch. We beg you not take it badly if we don't reply. We sincerely apologize for not being able to reply to every single one of you. We are busy professionals who happen to love hosting friends, old and new, young and seasoned, of any nationality, race, gender and creed. If we get to your email and have an opening, we will most gladly welcome you to our place. Happy travels, everyone!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We have not surfed yet. We have hosted quite a few people before signing up on the site.
Interests
Latest update: In this moment of crisis, I am keeping the apartment available to Ukrainian refugees who need a place to stay. For this reason, even if I accept your request, I may need to cancel at the last minute to welcome those in most need. Please keep this in mind when you send a request for a stay. Also, if you are or know someone running from the war who is making it to Portugal and needs a safe place to stay, send me a message. No money needed, just make it to Lisbon and I will help. We all must do whatever is within reach. Stay well, keep safe and be the change you wish to see in the world.
Old buddies from college sharing a gorgeous apartment in one of the historical quarters in Lisbon, right behind the Cathedral and possibly with the most amazing view over the river. We have music as a hobby with the weekly live performance here and there. We have lived abroad for about ten years before moving back to Lisbon and we know how it is to be new in town. We love people, we love sharing stories and we welcoming guests into our awesome apartment.
Update -----------------------
We have moved to Lapa, which is also an amazing neighborhood. The place is slightly bigger overall but each room is smaller so we can only accommodate 2 people at a time.
We have hosted very many people at the new place as well and everybody seems to love the old building, especially the view from the rooftop (if you dare join us in climbing the fire escape ladder all the way to the top :)
Yet another update ————————-
Hugo got married and is now a dad to two girls. Pedro and his girlfriend are expecting a boy soon. - just born! And Jay is the godfather!! Anyway - both Pedro and Hugo have moved out but return to the street to visit all the friends and neighbors quite often. Jay stayed behind with two rescue kitties who also needed a safe home to stay, then moved apartments a couple of times but still lives on the same street in a two-bedroom with an even more amazing view over the river and its iconic bridge. Then covid came and Couchsurfing hibernated. Slowly coming out of these dark ages. Happy to host once again so that we can all share the goodness in this life.
