About Me

I'm a easygoing guy from California, I like meeting new people, especially in places that are far different than the ones I'm familiar with. I'm usually a fairly adventurous traveler, preferring outdoor activities and experiences to museums, seeing how people live, and nothing is better for that than knowing a local who can provide expert advice!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've got the travel bug, have had it for years now, but hotels are expensive and impersonal, and I barely spend any time in the hotel anyway so it makes a lot more sense to spend the money on experiences rather than wasting it on a room. I also really enjoy meeting locals who also appreciate travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books

I get the most enjoyment out of entertainment that teaches me something, challenges me, and pushes me out of my comfort zone. Yes, once in a while a mindless book or movie is needed, but usually I feel as if I'm not learning something I'm wasting my time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled solo, with no prior arrangements and somewhat unexpectedly, from Rome, Italy to Aarhus, Denmark. This trip took three days, and involved two airplanes, 3 buses, 6 trains, and one horse-drawn carriage.
