ABOUT ME

I'm a current student at SUNY college of Environmental Science and Forestry. My main passions include most everything and anything. I love music and will keep an open mind to many styles. I love making things with my hands and reading. I will talk politics when the time comes but my main passion is the environment. I love camping and hiking and kayaking. One thing i cant stand is sports, especially American sports (with the exception of la crosse and ultimate frisbee). After i finish school i want to travel. Give me a backpack, a pocketknife and a good book and i can go anywhere. Happy travels!!!

PHILOSOPHY

im trying not to take life too seriously. a lot of the problems we as humans have can easily be solved if we just stop trying so hard to be things we're not. if people stopped buying things to make themselves feel better and instead put the same effort into actually doing good, not only would we not be consuming so many unrenewable resources but we would feel better because we know we would be doing good. People should be able to do anything so long as it doesn't hurt anyone else. as the wiccan rede goes, "An it harm none, do what ye will" Government is meant to serve the people, not the other way around. if they need more money to do that then i better see more done. i have no problem paying higher taxes if it means that mass transit is free and efficient. if we stop wars, we would get lot more bang for our buck and everyone but big business would be happier. the only real enemy is the genius who uses his intelligence for personal gain above those who don't know better. i like to think.

Music, Movies, and Books

too many bands to list but for genres, my favorite are; ska, metal, classic rock, new age celtic, new age, folk, folk metal, and 90's rock.

ill watch almost any movie as long as im with the right people. i just hate sports movies and most chick flicks. my personal favorites are historical action movies. (braveheart, gladiator, master and commander, etc.) fantasy (lord of the rings, merlin) and stories of survival (castaway, into the wild)

as for books, i love fantasy especially redwall, tolkein, sword of shannara, eragon, and the bartimus trilogy
