About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to see more, learn more, and smile more :)

ABOUT ME

***************************************

I just graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a degree Journalism and Computer Science, and now I'm working as a graphic. Designer and artist at Colorado Ski Furniture in Manitou Springs, Colorado :). I paint, write and hike when I have the time and I'm always interested in meeting new people and making friends all over the country and the world! I'm extremely egalitarian, meaning no matter what your gender is, where you're from, what ethnicity you are, what language you speak, your sexual orientation, the color of your skin or anything else, I believe we're all equals and deserve to be treated as such. I love to travel and see new places, meet new people and hear new opinions. We only have so much time and definitely shouldn't waste it in one place!

The more you see the more you know (;

PHILOSOPHY

I try to do everything I can to help people when they need it, and to keep the people around me happy :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I accept most every couch request during the summer for people to stay at my apartment, and I have couch surfed on a road trip and had a great experience!
I'm looking forward to meeting even more wonderful people through CS, and continuing to use it to travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only couch surfed with two different people so far, this past summer on my road trip to the East coast from Boulder, CO. My friend was concerned about the whole thing being dangerous, but we both had a wonderful time at both places, and stayed with the same girl in Nashville on my way back through. It has been wonderful to meet people this way!

Interests

In my free time (which there isn't always much of) I love to read, hike, draw, paint and adventure! I'm very interested in journalism and beyond relieved that I finally decided to add it to my major.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Venice, Italy was the most mind-blowing place I've ever been. For one, I'm claustrophobic and have a strange fear of water and I was still mesmerized by Venice even though it seems like it should be my worst nightmare. On top of that, my dad was extremely sick while we were there so I had to go around alone trying to figure out prescriptions and doctors and food, and the people there were incredibly friendly and helpful, tourists and locals alike. It is definitely a place that I have every desire to return to and explore further under more desirable circumstances. Venice left me quite enchanted :)
