HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am hosting now in State College PA. Early 2015 I hosted a bit in Santiago de Chile. Late 2012 - mid 2014 I hosted at my apartment in downtown Charlottesville, VA. In 2012 I hosted in Hagerstown with my sister Julie and her husband Anders, and I hosted in Baltimore in 2010. I have surfed a bit in Europe and Asia but not yet in the US.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I love to host, I love to surf, and I love to talk to and help out travelers any way that I can. I think that couchsurfing is a wonderful experiment, it reaffirms my belief in the goodness and love of all kinds of people people all around the world.

Interessen

I love the fascinating and wonderful world that I am so blessed to live in. I am always up for new experiences or talking about previous ones, maybe even over a tasty beverage or two.. :-)

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Frolicking in the snow and then camping with seals and penguins on the Antarctic Peninsula, Bungee jumping over the Zambezi river in Victoria Falls, taking in the view from the top of Table Mountain in Cape Town, relaxing in the Tea fields of Sri Lanka, hiking to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and back up again, driving a Corolla down the Sani Pass, driving from London to Ulanbator in a Nissan Micra (MR'11), racing Olya to the top of the pyramids in Tikal, climbing the temples of Angkor Wat, surviving extreme winds in a cable car heading up to Mt Fuji, standing on top of the world in Seoraksan National Park, taking it easy on the beaches of Meeru Island, exploring the underground cities and cave churches of Cappadocia, touring the underground Churches of Lalibela, fighting my claustrophobia at the Cu Chi Tunnels, cheering for an all day Sumo tourney in Tokyo, swimming with red river dolphins and piranhas in the amazon river, taking a dip in the mildly chilly waters off the coast of Antarctica, skydiving in Chile with a view of the Andes and the Pacific from the plane, bathing in the Tabacon hot springs, cocktail in hand, watching monkeys swing through the rain forest while Mt Arenal erupts in the background.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I have a gluten allergy and I don't eat much in the way of dairy products. I am listing this here because I don't want be ungrateful and have to refuse a gift from another surfer. Sorry Mehdi! :-)

The past year and a half I have been practicing AcroYoga and partner acrobatics. If anyone would like to fly - I can base you!
