About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To feel gratitude in every moment; to be kind, to maintain wonder!

ABOUT ME

I am back in beautiful Vermont after spending a fun 12 years in the Boston area. I place importance on people, art, beauty, music and humor. I love the work I do, although it can be challenging emotionally and mentally.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted a number of times; the couchsurfing community is a unique and valuable one!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed with someone in Vermont when I lived in Somerville, MA and had a pleasant experience. It was such a free and fun feeling to meet new people and have a few days to get to know them. It was a great way to be able to take an affordable road trip and have some great conversation at the same time.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love classics (Bette Davis, Tennessee Williams), I recently fell in love with Akira Kurosawa, documentaries and comedy (Arrested Development, Curb Your Enthusiasm), a beautiful partial documentary called Alamar. Music is all over the place (Tricky, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, The Black Keys, Nina Simone) but Bob Dylan is my favorite. I like classic novels as well (Brontes, Austen, etc), Michael Ondaatje, Crime and Punishment, Steinbeck, poetry in general. I'm rabid about radio documentaries (transom.org, This American Life).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Working with special needs children is something that will always resonate with me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to cook organic, slow food and love to talk about healthy eating and living and I know a bit of sign language.
