Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have hosted some 4-5000 volunteers, interns, workshop participants at PermaLot the past 14 years. Some became friends for life...some we wish we'd never met...
Only one of them came through the CS platform, though many had used it elsewhere...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Been living in numerous countries and traveling a fair bit, but never used couch surfing for it...

I once hosted 16 youth on the floor of our small farm house, 3 more in my double bed, with me sleeping in the storage area above.. 3 die-hard's slept in the straw loft in the -10 degree winter night...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Slaughtered reindeers with Laplaenders, ran a paintball field, lived 2,5 years alone in the forest (with a cat)..hitch-hiked from North Cape to Athens, biked from Paris to Copenhagen, pulling a wooden covered wagon... Had a bear with a cub walk by my tent... and assisted with the birth of my daughter at our home birth in our rural moravian homestead in '07
