About Me
Hello my name is Pernille
At the moment I live in freezing Copenhagen where I am studying Natural Resources Management at the University of Copenhagen. I'm interested in deep conversations, great laughs and wild inspiration.
I'm an adventurous academic who love being outdoors, drinking strong drinks and playing games I never knew before. Art installations, film screenings, dance parties, colorful foods, literature. The first meeting, late nights, early mornings, connecting.
I really hope to meet you some time!
CURRENT MISSION
I want to live and feel all the shades, tones and variations of mental and physical experience possible in life. Sylvia Plath
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It has been 9 years and in the beginning I was a teenager looking for some interaction with the world, inspired by dreams of traveling the world. Since I've tried hosting because what better way to meet new people when it's not possible to travel? Other than that, I love the project - such a great way to connect people!
Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
My favorite genres are folk, jazz, blues, hip hop, ambient, post-rock and classical. yeah, that's very broad
Authors:
Walt Whitman, Henry D. Thoreau, Jack London, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Robert Frost, Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg, Charles Bukowski, Sylvia Plath, Ernest Hemingway, Leo Tolstoy, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, J. R. R. Tolkien, Salman Rushdie, James Joyce, Johannes V. Jensen, Hunter S. Thompson, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Haruki Murakami, Franz Kafka, Anton Chekhov, William S. Burroughs, Hermann Hesse, Plato, Michael Strunge, Karen Blixen, Milan Kundera. This list is long. And I haven't even begun
I am enchanted by books. I have a lot of antique books collected from different places and I imagine having a small library some day. I am greatly inspired by the 19th century writers, especially from America, the entire Transcendentalism movement, the Beat generation, the 1920's authors and Danish 80's poetry.
