About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To look for exciting adventures to experience every day!

ABOUT ME

I am a science teacher working internationally. I moved there from my home in California, and I am hoping that I will get to continue doing this for a long time.

The thing I love most about traveling is all of the unexpected adventures that you run into along the way. I'm the type of person who makes the best of every situation and the more unexpected things are, the more exciting it all seems.

Hm... what else? I hate having to write about myself.... haha. Ok, let's see... I enjoy the outdoors. I spend my time with friends, whether it is eating out or cooking dinner to share at home.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have now hosted a few couch surfers at my home in Turkey, although not many since people don't have much reason to visit Ankara and I live on the outside of the city as well. But, it was fun to have them stay with me. I also couchsurfed in England and Italy. I have found that each of my hosts so far has been incredible and has had a wonderful experience to offer me, so I am really enjoying it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Gosh... so many amazing things it's difficult to think of what to write here. There are amazing things to see in every country I've been to.

I spend my summer on the Arctic tundra of Alaska at a research station assisting a professor with research on stratigraphy in arctic lakes. I got to see research projects being done by researchers from all over the world while I was there and the tundra is such an amazing, unique environment. I thought the whole experience was pretty awesome, but then I love learning about science!
