About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Live life differently and learn something new everyday!
ABOUT ME
I'm an online English teacher from Philadelphia who has slowly become a digital nomad, working and traveling around the world. I love experiencing new cultures by meeting the people, eating the foods and living the adventurous life. I began my travels a few years ago when I lived in Spain for a few months while teaching English. I used Couchsurfing to meet new people and practice Spanish. Since then I’ve lived in Colombia, Ecuador, and Miami and I’ve traveled all over Central and South America. I’m currently in the States for the summer, but I’m trying to travel as much as possible to keep my adventurous spirit alive and satisfied!
PHILOSOPHY
Being a teacher, my goal in life is to live life to the fullest and to share my experiences with others. I want to travel so that I can experience different cultures, places and people and see life from a new perspective. I love sharing these adventures with my students, friends and family to encourage them to travel and open their minds and hearts to other cultures and lifestyles.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I used Couchsurfing to meet people and practice Spanish while living in Spain. Now I like to use it when visiting a city for a short period of time or when starting out somewhere new since I work online and move around a lot.
I am not currently able to host, but would always love to stay in touch and will be able to offer a couch when I return to Philly.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have mostly used couch surfing to meet the locals in the cities I visit. I have mostly stayed in hostels, with a few couches in between, but I always make an effort to meet the people that call that city home. In the past, I have been lucky to find some truly amazing and generous people whose love for their city and culture was absolutely contagious. It is these people who have shared their ideas and dreams and lives with me that have made my travels so life changing!
Interests
Traveling, eating new foods, meeting new people, history, teaching, reading, writing, hiking, running, photography, dancing, swimming, kayaking, snorkeling, enjoying the beach, the sun, the mountains and anywhere else my journey takes me. I also love taking any chance to find a great view!

Music, Movies, and Books
There´s far too many too name. I love all kinds of movies, but Tarantino films are some of my favorites. I like reading books about adventure, but also about awaking your mind. The Alchemist, The Four Agreements and The Power of Now are a few of my favorites.
Teach, Learn, Share
People are surprisingly open and helpful if you just reach out and give them a reason to be. I have met some of the most amazing people on a subway train or at a bus station by asking a question. Most people love to share their knowledge about their city or culture to someone who is eager to learn!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Easy-going and interesting conversation in general, but especially on culture, world history, education, immigration, music, and food!
I love doing language exchanges, offering English or Spanish language practice from a patient and encouraging teacher.
