I'm originally from France, but I've been studying in Montreal for the past four years, and I've absolutely fallen in love with it. After a bachelor in screenwriting and creative writing, I'm now working on a master's degree in creative writing.
I'm of course passionate about literature and cinema, and also love art in all its other shapes.

I enjoy travelling on a budget, getting into random adventures, and I think the best way to discover a city is often to get lost in it.

I'm quite adaptable and I don't need much to be happy, I enjoy both big parties and quiet nights in, deep conversation and silly jokes, city life and outdoor fun. The one thing I always pack along is my sense of humour.

It's also very important to me to always be stimulated and challenged by new ideas and perspectives on life, which is a great part of travelling and meeting new people. I'm particularly interested in queer and feminist theories - and their practical applications.

Also, I play quidditch (yes, for real).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because it's an incredible way to connect with people from all over the world.

I signed up on CS a while back when I was planning a backpacking trip around Europe, but never got around to actually courchsurf or host. However, I've been to quite a few events and activities organized through CS, and I've met tons of awesome people that way (I don't have that many references so far, because with most of the people I've befriended, we just ended up adding each other on Facebook).

I'm going on a biking trip in British Columbia this summer and I would love to take this opportunity to have my first couchsurfing experiences! I'll be travelling with a tent, so anything is fine for me to sleep: a couch, a piece of floor or a patch of grass to pitch my tent.

Music, Movies, and Books

I've got a pretty eclectic taste, especially in music, as my favourites include folk, rock, ska, indie pop, bluegrass, and French "chansons à texte".

Wes Anderson is one of my favourite directors of all times, there are lots of movies I love, so I'll just name a few of them: Requiem for a Dream, Into the Wild, Walk the Line, Little Miss Sunshine, The Broken Circle Breakdown, Memento, Being John Malkovitch, Pulp Fiction, Garden State, The Big Lebowski, Before Sunrise, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

I watch way too many series, but here are a few: Game of Thrones, How I Met Your Mother, Misfits, Skins, Lip Service, Bomb Girls, Downton Abbey, The Big Bang Theory, Orange is the New Black, Suits, Mad Men, United States of Tara, Orphan Black, Cucumber & Banana.

Some of my favourite authors are Daniel Pennac, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, Fred Vargas, Kurt Vonnegut, Muriel Barbery, Patrick Rothfuss, Neil Gaiman, Tonino Benacquista, Sylvia Plath, Milan Kundera, Haruki Murakami, Silvia Avallone, Jonathan Safran Foer, and I also love poetry and theater.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The two months I spent backpacking around Europe before coming to Montreal were an incredible experience, I saw so many amazing things and met so many amazing people.

Teach, Learn, Share

Unfortunately I don'thave that many practical skills I could share, but I can always teach you some French, try to help you change a bike tire, pitch a crappy tent or take care of a campfire, or share some thoughts on reading and writing. Also, I can explain all the rules of quidditch, if you're curious about that.
