I'm an Artist of Life

My name is Perris Aquino and I'm a creative individual of sorts. Anything I find that allows me to express myself freely is a means for me to explore it - whether that be cinematography, film making, photography, art, painting, dance (all-styles), parkour, freerunning, martial arts, coding, music etc. I have no ambitions or goals for any of the passions that I embody; only to be myself to the fullest and understand more about who I am, where I come from, and why I'm here. I live in a world of constant progression and knowledge with no expectation of an end result - and couch surfing is a place for me to expand my awareness, learn about the world, learn about people, and grow as a human being.

A BRIEF SUMMARY:

Growing up, I faced a number of health problems that led to a prolonged depressed-metal-state throughout my school days. A heart condition and different diseases kept me out of school and away from other kids - unable to interact with peers or focus on school work. This being the case, I spent my days at home finding ways to cope through different forms of self-expression (drawing,video,photo,dance,parkour,etc.). I barely graduated high school, and without any plans for a post education - only to find myself working with America's Best Dance Crew Season 1 Winners: The JABBAWOCKEEZ as a dancer/main cast member in their PRISM show at the Luxor on the strip in Las Vegas, Nevada. Prior to being selected as a performer with the company, I would create YouTube videos of me dancing and being myself - not thinking anything would come from it. My first job straight out of high school, quickly proved to me that anything is possible. I worked with the JABBAWOCKEEZ for a year, and am now working for myself as a freelance cinematographer/photographer/performer/athlete/anything I can find really.

I love to vlog and capture my experiences!

Due to learning some important life lessons early on in my childhood, I grew to have a more spiritual understanding of my life and my environment. I have a tendency to crave freedom from the expectations of others that deprive us of our potential.. and often spend my days alone pondering deep questions like:

"Who am I?"
"Why am I here?"
"What is my purpose?"

Overtime, I've found a way of living - a philosophy that has helped me throughout my life and continues to prove as an advantage over the set system of "rules and expectations" we live in. I feel LIMITLESS and want to share this mindset with those who resonate with it. My intent for my videos is to create a place to share my adventures, experiences, growth, and thought process with others - in hopes that it will inspire them to have a different perspective on our reality. I want to create a place for me to be myself and document my own growth as a person - To find like minded individuals - and keep being me. I like to think of these as video diaries / journals that I can look back on and analyze for my own progression

I've found that film-making is the place where the rest of my passions can meet.

PHILOSOPHY:
May I grant myself: Peace, love, strength, courage and wisdom for my mind, body and soul. I don't want to be afraid of knowledge and experiences that will help me grow. To overcome my ignorance and ego - to be open. I want to forgive and love myself and the people around me.. And so I will embrace my shadows and my light, in order to understand all aspects of my being. If I can forgive myself, I can forgive others. I want to ascend to a higher level of awareness, so that I may contribute to an ever expanding collective consciousness. To a dying, living, world. To the souls of those who are lost and searching. Like me them, and them me. We're all one in the same.

Shortly after graduating high school, I was approached with the opportunity to work as a cast member in the JABBAWOCKEEZ Prism show at the Luxor in the Las Vegas' strip as my first job. And so I did!
