Overview
About Me
I am a student at St. Mary's College studying chemistry, hopefully so one day I'll be able to do environmental chemistry work.
I'm a very easy going, positive, and open person who loves learning new things and having new experiences. I strive to be a fun and considerate person.
Will of course provide all my own food. If you have any favorite recipes I'm always down to learn something new.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I first heard about Couchsurfing when I was asked to do a piece on it for my old school's art and culture magazine. I thought it sounded like a great way to meet new people and see new places. I'm hoping to explore new places and meet the people who live there in the most immersive way possible.
Interests
I would say my three biggest interests are coffee, nature, and music.
Coffee is huge for me. I work in a coffee shop and love making good coffee for people.
Nature and the outdoors are big for me. I like backpacking, rowing, and kayaking, and doing landscape photography.
Music is also a big thing for me. One of my favorite pastimes is playing mandolin down by the river with friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I love a bunch of stuff. Some bands I like a lot: Modest Mouse, Local Natives, Defiance Ohio, Trampled by Turtles, The Front Bottoms, Modern Baseball, Ramshackle Glory, Chance the Rapper, and The Weakerthans.
Slaughterhouse V is probably my favorite book.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
For the past few summers, I've spent a week working at a sleep away summer camp for children with special needs. By far the most awesome and fulfilling thing I've ever done.
Teach, Learn, Share
I play mandolin and guitar, so I'm always down for jamming or showing people some stuff (although I'm not too great at either haha).
I love making good coffee and would love to share that with others. I also like baking bread a lot, and make some pretty great biscuits.
I'm also always down for learning any sort of new cool stuff.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Music- I plan on bringing my mandolin with me when I travel and also love talking about music.
Coffee- I know a bunch about making good coffee and plan on traveling with my gear.
Food- I'm an ok cook and a pretty good baker and love sharing food.
