ABOUT ME

My name is Perry and I guess I'm a late starter on the whole travelling bit. I didn't take my first big trip until I was 24 and had just finished college. But since then, I have been in love with seeing the world and meeting new people. I would say I'm a pretty laid back person who is always up for something. I like to find the humour in all things in life and probably why I tend to smile alot. I love talking to people and hearing some of their life stories and hopefully learn a thing or two from them.

PHILOSOPHY

My "personal philosophy" is hard to describe because it's always changing and evolving with every new experience I have and with every new person I meet.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to try couch surfing on my next adventure and I'm always willing to give a warm spot on my couch to anyone in need!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never tried couch surfing before, this is a brand new experience for me! But I have met a lot of wonderful friends through my travels and I hope couch surfing is an add on to those experiences, giving me more opportunities to meet great people!

兴趣

I love being in the outdoors regardless if its summer or winter. In the winter I love going to the mountains and carving some fresh tracks on the snowboard. The summer I'm usually out hitting a round of golf, hanging out with friends on the lake or taking a sunset ride on the motorbike.

When choosing a travel destination, I usually travel to warm beaches with crystal clear waters to do some scuba diving (just got my advanced diver certification, pretty excited about that) and surf some waves.

Currently reading the novel "Shantaram" on this trip. Was recommended to me by a fellow traveller and friend and I am quite enjoying it.

I travelled part of my trip in Costa Rica solo on a motorbike. It was the first time I felt totally independent in my travel. It was exciting because I could go whenever and I had to plan and solve problems all on my own with no help. I was so happy to know I could encounter anything and come out on top

I think the best thing a traveller can share with a fellow traveller is just their stories and experience they've had. Two people can go to the same place and see completely different things. One thing that I have been wanting to learn for a long time now is to play a guitar. It's been on the list for a long time now but unfortunately I haven't had the chance to sit down and teach myself or take the lessons.
