Overview
About Me
I mostly grew up in Kentucky, but I was born in Texas and I've also lived in Colorado, Missouri, and Arizona. I moved out to Santa Fe, NM for college. I graduated this May (2017) and I've been living here since!
I love climbing things and calisthenics and dancing. I grew up in a family choir, so I know how to sing a bit. I'm also very much into self-development and pushing myself to the next level. Currently, I'm taking a course on how to be a virtual coach.
I have a personal blog wherein I share my existential quandaries and thoughts about life and God and religion and death and dancing and things. In case you're interested: http://www.pnhalverson.com
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've been meaning to get on couch surfing for a while, because it seemed like an awesome way to save money while traveling and meeting interesting people. I finally signed up for an account because I needed a place to stay for an upcoming conference and I was broke. Ironically, (or perhaps not?) a main emphasis at the event is attracting more money into your life! Hmm...

Music, Movies, and Books
I am terrible with favorites. I like experiencing too many new things, and I constantly evolve new tastes.
However, as far as music goes, I like Punch Brothers, Unlike Pluto, Arstidir, Barnaby Bright, and BT.
As far as books go, I like ones that help me live a better life, and ones that inspire me with their beauty. Patrick Rothfuss is a pretty awesome writer.
Amelie was my favorite movie... and then I started watching it for a third time. It's still really good, but I'm not sure that it is my favorite.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I got a Bachelor's degree from St. John's College. Not the most amazing thing on the surface, but perhaps amazing if you consider my background and the personal difficulties I had to overcome to even apply there.
Teach, Learn, Share
I taught swing dancing for a couple of semesters at my alma mater. I'd be happy to show you some moves!
I also started singing when I was 4, and I might be down to sing a tune or two, or join in a jam session. :)
Board games? Card games? I'm in.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I've been told I'm a good listener. (humblebrag)
I also enjoy cleaning, so I might be down to tidy up a bit.
Je peux aussi parler un peu français, alors on pouvait apprendre ou enseigner quelques choses.
