ABOUT ME

As stated in the occupation field i am a teacher and that i guess is a big part of who I am. I love being around people, listening to their stories and providing my opinion if it is asked for. I enjoy life to the fullest, a wonderful time for me can mean anything from a crazy night out to slouching in the sofa with a book and a drink.Very open minded and non judgmental I believe and celebrate the differences between people.

PHILOSOPHY

Sadly still searching for a definite one...but what happens after we find it? Simply stop searching and abide by it? That would be boring :D. I prefer the search. Anyways Siddhartha by Herman Hesse comes to mind.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

even from a very young age I always would be the volunteer in the class for taking guests. 3 kids from Ukraine on a cultural exchange, one kid from turkey couple of years later..etc. I enjoy meeting people and the best way to do that is to offer a helping hand whether its a soft couch or a tour with helpful info. CS is kind of new to me....but i have been hosting and surfing for a long time before that. I love this CS movement.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Most of my hosting and surfing experiences so far have been mostly through word of mouth, an informal network of travelers and friends of friends of friends. Have met many many wonderful people and have had unforgettable experiences. Hoping this will continue with this site.

Intereses

travelling :P, talking, reading, music, movies, space, nature, architecture, art, exchange of ideas, philosophizing about anything, laughing,sharing experiences, sport, nature, dreaming.....sooo many....mostly anything under this blue sky...anyways this smart person says it better than me with only one sentence: “The most powerful force in the universe is compound interest” Albert Einstein :)

Algo increíble que he hecho

Wow...this is difficult. In San Francisco I was walking in Golden Gate park and was amazed at how many beggers/street dwellers were there. But they were different than most i have seen. Smiles on their faces even in the chill of winter. I sat down on the lawn to listen to a spontaneous band of musicians that just gathered by chance. An old man approached me and asked if i could spare a dollar....i was broke, i apologized and said i could only offer some of my food. His reply was contained in a simple smile, he sat down and told me the story of how on his first night on the streets of SF many many years ago he was walking bare footed and wished for shoes. 5 min later a Chinese man walked out of an alley and gave him some leather boots in good condition. The Chinese man was also a street dweller. He said that beggar life in SF is better than anywhere in the world....so good that most don't even want to stop even if they have a chance. The reason for this was that they all helped each other out...he offered me five dollars because i was broke and needed a bus."its only money" he said. I couldnt agree more. We spent a long time in silence each with his own thoughts. I learned a big lesson that day.

The world is full of amazing things for those that care to look.

Teach, Learn, Share.....i have been using these exact words to explain to my students that I am also learning from them on a daily basis. Teach them not to be afraid to share their opinions and ask any kind of question.Seek knowledge and different perspective...always. If everyone in the world would just do that i am sure it will be a much more enjoyable place to live in.
