About Me

I'm just an average guy seeking friendship and adventure, anything that leads to meaningful experiences and enjoyable memories. I see myself as a lifelong learner, following my intellectual curiosity to wherever it leads. I believe life should be lived to the fullest while discovering and embracing the inherent talents and gifts that rests within each of us. I'm very open-minded and easy to talk to; I also enjoy conversations of every kind, especially ones that lead to helpful or worthwhile insights.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe this service offers an incredible opportunity to connect with other people, both for the traveler and host alike. I enjoy meeting and getting to know all sorts of different people, no matter their beliefs or background, and I think this tool makes the process a lot easier.

Interests

Right now I'm on a cross-country road trip with my camera, taking pictures everywhere I go.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In July 2018, I climbed the Guadalupe Mountains, the highest summit in all of Texas (8,751 feet). The nearly 9 mile round trip taught me a few valuable things about myself. It showed me that I'm willing to explore the world and the unknown, even if that means I have to go alone (which I did on this trip). Secondly, if I'm determined then I can accomplish anything.

I've also gone skydiving twice.

Teach, Learn, Share

By sharing my story, I hope to impart some lesson or knowledge that my host can find useful, or valuable, to apply in their own life, and in return they have the opportunity to have the same kind of impact on my life. I was once told that I have a teachable spirit, which tells me that I'm eager to listen and to learn. With each passing day, life forces us to grow, it helps if we pay attention.

What I Can Share with Hosts

It's an incredibly generous and gracious act for a person to open up their home and welcome a complete stranger. The only repayment I can think of is to be a polite guest who shows nothing but respect and gratitude toward my host. In addition, all I can do is share my story—experiences, thoughts, trials and triumphs—anything and everything that my host can possibly relate to. Ultimately, my aim is to have a great conversation and hopefully connect with a fellow human being.

In addition to being grateful to my host, I would like for us to go out and have a cup of coffee or a meal to further show my appreciation, all on me.
