Overview
About Me
Hi! I graduated from studying archaeology University last summer (2022), and at the moment I'm cycling all the way around Spain on my bike, carrying my mandolin with me! My aim is to cross to the Mediterranean islands after reaching Barcelona, and then to go to mainland Italy and arrive in Roma.
I love to travel simply, and get back to basics. Long-distance walking and cycling are my favourite ways to travel. But also I adore sailing and would love to do a long-distance sailing voyage one day. I'd quite like to do a journey on horseback one day too, even though I can't really ride a horse very well! :D
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe strongly in the idea of welcoming travellers into one's home, a tradition which has been universal throughout much of history. I think it's brilliant that Couchsurfing is renewing this tradition in the modern world.
Interests
I always carry a book with me wherever I go - I love to read. I read voraciously about all kinds of different subjects, both fiction and nonfiction. I have over 900 books in my little bedroom at home!
I try to be outdoors as much as possible - whether it's sitting quietly and enjoying the day as it passes by, or doing some kind of physical activity.

Teach, Learn, Share
I can play the guitar, the piano, the mandolin, the bass, the ukulele, a bit of accordion, maybe a song on the melodica, a touch of harmonica, perhaps a tune or two on the whistle, a few notes on the saxophone, a screech on the violin - I'm omnivorous when it comes to instruments and music!! I haven't got much of a singing voice though...
I can juggle too.
I really enjoy cooking and languages, but I'm not very good at either of them (except English, of course)! So I would love to learn these things from you, whatever it might be!
Also I've never got the hang of playing the drums and really must master them one day - please teach me if you know how!!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am happy to help with household tasks and errands if I can - whatever I can do to repay your hospitality.
I'm currently travelling with my mandolin, so I'm more than happy to play some music for you as well.
I'm not really much of a storyteller, but I love a good conversation and I'm interested in all sorts of things, so a long chat over food or drink is always welcome.
