Overview
About Me
I am a really friendly and polite 27yr old from one of the most beautiful parts of England (The Cotswolds). I am old at heart and very mature, but still very much up for a good laugh and aimlessly talking the night away!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Intermittently I go on long unplanned trips, sometimes across Europe and there is no better way to experience the true values and culture of the local area than staying with those that live there.
Interests
A childhood of growing up in the leafy wilderness of the Cotswolds has enshrined a deep-rooted curiosity and appreciation of the natural world within me. I relish nothing more than being outdoors; walking, exploring and taking in the natural landscape - finding the places few people have ever explored and the curiosities hidden from sight. I enjoy capturing and sharing the beauty of the natural world through photography, to encourage others in a technology-laden world, to put their phone down and immerse in what surrounds them. I do however spend plenty of time at my desk, writing and researching, which at this current time is towards my own independent research.
Away from hobbies i enjoy quality food and drink and conversation, immersing myself fully in the various culture(s) of the country I am visiting.

Music, Movies, and Books
My musical tastes are incredibly broad, covering a spectrum, ranging from EDM, classical, rock, pop, country, soundtrack, world and reggae. The only music that rarely makes an appearance with myself is R&B, rap and Blues.
TV and film are infrequently enjoyed by myself, especially the former. However my favourite film is Ridley Scott's Gladiator, other notable favourites include the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Hot Fuzz, Apocolypto, Indiana Jones (I-III). The little television I do watch generally comprises of comedy series (e.g Archer, Peep Show, Vicar of Dibley), HBO mini-series (e.g Rome, Band of Brothers, The Pacific), or factual documentaries (eg. David Attenborough Misc., Time Team).
Books are generally restricted to non-fiction topics - I have probably only read a dozen fiction books from cover to cover! All literature regarding archaeology, history, geography, the natural world and exploration (Ranulph Fiennes/ Levison Wood etc.) is enjoyed.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am more than happy to converse and learn about almost anything; I enjoy nothing more than hearing about and expanding my knowledge of the world.
Naturally i can talk/inform/share about all things archaeological & historical, perhaps particularly pertinent if you are under the illusion that i am a 21st century Indiana Jones who digs up dinosaurs! But equally, I can share information about much of the UK, the pretty region (The Cotswolds) i call home, the natural world and loads of other peculiarities.
