ABOUT ME

I love new experiences, and getting to see new places. I have worked out my job so that I work during the school year and travel over the summer.

I work in Special Education for people that are ages 2-21 that have either physical or mental disabilities. One job is as a Recreational Therapy Tech where I help apply other kinds of therapy to kids' daily lives. I've been involved with that program forever and love it to death. The other is through a high school where we do everything from basic classes to teaching life and job skills.

I love music, it has been a saving grace for me throughout my life. I have thoroughly enjoyed the chances I have had to play alongside others and meet the ones that have inspired me.

I'm very into cycling. I do long distance rides and am moving into the mechanical side of things to be able to create some cool bicycle based contraptions.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I met other surfers while traveling through Europe, I am ready start hosting at home, and hope to be surfing again next summer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am fairly new to the couchsurfing.com community, but look forward to making the most of it.

Music: The different types of music I listen to are hard to list. I enjoy the opportunity to experience any new kind of music.

Movies: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Punch Drunk Love, The Blues Brothers, most zombie movies, and pretty much anything by Kubrick.

Books: On The Road - Jack Kerouac, abnormal criminal psychology, and "how to" books on stuff like bike building and audio engineering.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I am most proud of the charity bike ride I did in September of 2005. The money raised went to the Plea For Peace Foundation to help build a youth center in California. In a little over a month we rode from Olympia, WA to San Diego, CA. It remains to be the most eye opening, mind expanding experience of my life to date.

Ran with the bulls twice during San Fermin 2007 in Pamplona. Even though it resulted in a broken collarbone, I have no regrets. The festival has such a rich history, and the actual run is the biggest rush I've ever felt.

-I love to share knowledge about the disabled community. There are many wrongful assumptions and I enjoy informing others of the facts. I'm willing to share if you are interested.

-I want to take in whatever knowledge can be offered by others. There is much to be learned from the world. A classroom can only do so much.
