Overview
About Me
I grew up in the Philippines and immigrated to the United States at the age of 10. I went to high school and college in New Jersey and then moved to Maryland in 2011. I saved up enough money to pay off all my debts and as a reward, I decided to finally live inside DC proper in 2012 and have been loving it since.
I'm pretty outgoing an I am open minded to most things. I am deathly in love with food and music. I am a "great memories" junkie. I think that's why I tend to always be down to do spontaneous things because it almost always yields a fantastic and long lasting memory.
Although I am outgoing, I do appreciate the stereotypically introverted activities. I appreciate a good hangout, a long talk (I love nerding out about books and TV and human behavior), a semi quiet bar, but again, I'm also down to party. I like to think of myself as a balanced individual.
I am a sucker for live music, awesome food, drunken shenanigans, or just exploring DC. Trust me, even with 3 years here, there's still plenty to explore.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I genuinely enjoy getting to know people. So meeting new people from across the globe and showing them around Washington is a fantastic way to do that.
Interests
I love snowboarding, video games, comic books, reading books, eating, drinking, going out, walking around, cooking, music, watching movies, and talking.
Music, Movies, and Books
Hip hop, alternative rock, classic rock, EDM, top 40s, pop, punk, and indie/underground. I can basically get down with anything except heavy metal.
There's too many movies to name that I love. I love the movie going experience, so I'm kind of the wrong person to ask about favorite movies because I won't be able to list all of them.
Harry Potter, The Ender Series, A Song of Ice and Fire, Gillian Flynn's novels, I love a lot of fiction, actually!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A month long road trip across the United States. I'd elaborate, but that would take forever. We can nerd out about it when you stay with me or I stay with you!
Oh yeah, I survived a heart attack! I literally died and came back. It's actually pretty surreal.
Teach, Learn, Share
Food! I can definitely teach, learn, and share in that subject!
Also, life experiences? This is a weird box.
