Overview
About Me
I'm 30, studied sustainable technology, got lost in the world of finance - saw a way out and haven't looked back.
Currently work in business development for a new review app, called Trybal (@peteyb). Helping local independent businesses get useful feedback to help them improve. I'm loving this job as it gives me the chance to geek out, and explore new places.
Did a bit of travelling after uni - lived in Aus and NZ for a bit. Had a blast, met some great people and loved seeing what other parts of the world had to offer.
Currently in South America until March. Most likely in Chile and Brazil. Hoping to head to Florianópolis for Carnival if i can work out the travel.
Suggestions and invitations welcome.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on here because I love meeting new people and there's nothing better than having a local show you round when you turn up in a new city (or country!).
I'm unable to host at the moment, as I'm a homeless nomad, but I'm sure that when I'm set up - wherever I land - I'll want to show the same kindness and hospitality that has already been shown to me.
I'm looking for people who'd either be able to host me, or help with advice on where to go, what to see, who to visit and generally help me on my way. The odd hug does definitely not go amiss either!
I'm also looking for fellow travelers to share some great experiences with – take in the culture of new places, have a bit of a party and see some amazing sights.
Get in touch if you think you may be able to help me out with some good suggestions and if wanting a traveling buddy.
Interests
I very much love music and festivals. Unfortunately I don't play any instruments (or sing!) myself - but I'm into electro/house, psy-trance, electro-synth, progressive, dancey fun pop and folk. Yes, very eclectic.
I love to read epic fantasy and enjoy action/thriller movies and comedy TV shows (like veep).
I enjoy exploring the wilderness, part of what I love about travelling is the variety of people and scenes that you see every day.
I'm also into cooking, diving, walking, running, spinning poi, dancing and generally chilling with friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the greatest experiences I've had was diving in the great barrier reef. I was so impressed with how interesting and full of life some of the areas were.
