About Me

I'm a relatively well travelled, out-going wanderer with a love of meeting new people and seeing new things. I have spent as much time as possible exploring the world and trying to experience new things - from cultures to activities and everything in between.

While I'm from the UK and have lived here most of my life, I have also managed to spend 2 years or so living abroad in Thailand, Australia & New Zealand, and can honestly say it led to most of the best experiences of my life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am heading off around the USA at the end of August this year and am looking to meet new people, see things that are not tourist attractions and generally have a unique experience. If I can give something back to those I meet then all the better really, especially those wonderful types who may be able to accommodate me on my journey!
Couchsurfing has always appealed to me as a concept, and I would absolutely love to be in a position to put people up myself but sadly due to having had to always live in shared flats/houses I have not yet had the opportunity. Hopefully on my return to London this winter that will change!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm an avid reader, listener and watcher of anything creative that I can sink my teeth into. My musical taste is eclectic (isn't everyones?) but I have a particular love for Incubus, Fat Freddy's Drop, The Weeknd, Kygo, John Mayer & The XX....although that may not help narrow it down I guess.

I tend to read a lot of fantasy fiction - from the Kingkiller Chronicles, A Song of Ice & Fire and Tolkien through to HP Lovecraft, Frank Herbert (Dune), Douglas Adams and Terry Pratchett.

As for films well I'll watch anything that is recommended to me once, but to give a few random favourites: The Usual Suspects, In Bruges, Guardians of the Galaxy, Margin Call & anything Star Wars.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Wow that's tricky to pick a favourite. Bungee Jumping or Skydiving in New Zealand? Teaching English to children in Thailand? Swimming with dolphins, sea turtles, whales and manta rays? Helping to found a craft ale brewery? All of those are right up there for me, so I'll let you pick which one is the most interesting (or not)!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Whatever I can really - jokes, stories, advice, recommendations, food & drinks. I'll happily help take care of pets and I'll be game for many suggestions I suppose!
