About Me

Update: Currently I cannot accept guests at my place.

Welcome to my profile! If you would like to stay with me, please read my profile completely including the 'my home' section and also write a nice personalized request suggesting why you think we should meet other than having a roof above your head for the night. If you are treating couchsurfing as a free hostel service, please do not ask me to host you. I don't like sounding negative but the share of copy paste messages that I receive is sadly high.

I am open-minded, travelled to and lived in many places and happy to meet new like-minded people. I very much identify with the concepts of lifelong learning, sustainability, healthy lifestyle and sharing econony. I am a non-smoker and very tidy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When travelling I enjoy it if I have the feeling of 'living' in the particular place, even if it is just for one or a few days and meet great, like-minded people. I would like to offer a place to stay for those travelling to Vienna with the original CS spirit and have the same chance when being abroad.

Interests

I love learning languages (especially Eastern European languages) and always keen to improve or learn as much as possible before visiting the target country, I also love doing sports, all kinds of summer sports like cycling, hiking, swimming, outdoor fitness and in the winter mostly gym, I am also interested in all things around healthy lifestyle (reading about it and also cooking healthily mostly vegetarian, but I do eat also meat), also I like playing board games. I studied management and I am also interested in business topics, especially sharing economy, sustainability and entrepreneurship.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Usually international pop in many different languages
Books: Travel stories and guides, language books and newspapers
Movies: I do not have a tv, but when I go to the movies, I prefer 'alternative' movies over blockbusters

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelling with night trains in Russia and feeling the endlessness of the land and meeting interesting people

Teach, Learn, Share

I like doing language exchange, thus share each others languages
I can tell you more about Vienna or Austria, the local culture and peculiarities and learn about yours
Cooking together is a great way of learning about different cuisines and approaches to food, etc...

Generally I am always happy to see and learn new things and make new experiences.

What I Can Share with Hosts

German teaching skills, cooking skills, information about Austria and particularly Vienna and of course a nice personality and the fact of being a hassle-free guest :)
