Overview
About Me
I am a Philadelphia transplant of 6+ years, originally from Maine. I went to college in Philadelphia, during which time I studied/worked in Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, and Peru for four months each. I'm a dirty, rotten liberal who's very concerned with issues of social (in)justice.
I've consistently been told that I'm my mother's funniest third child. I am quick to crack a joke, quicker to laugh at my own joke, and quicker still to have a smile on my face for seemingly no reason.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
From June to August, 2016, I traveled all across the USA, visiting 30 cities and staying with around 20 Couchsurfers along the way! Now I'm back in Philadelphia and hopeful that I'll be able to give back as a host!
I've been blogging my adventures at www.peterhyndman.wordpress.com.
Interests
I love keeping up with current events, laughing, reading, playing sports and card games, watching movies and tv shows, exploring nature, visiting museums, volunteering, bicycling, drinking, writing, and getting lost. And Mario Kart Double Dash.

Teach, Learn, Share
I am extremely interested in languages. I'd love to share my Spanish and English skills with others, as well as learn whatever languages they speak. I also love hearing other people's travel stories and enjoy sharing my own, too!
I'm teaching myself how to cook (I can follow a recipe pretty well) and I don't eat meat.
I'm an exceptional whistler.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A great sense of humor and an easygoing attitude. Judgment-free but passionate conversations about just about anything under the sun. Stories. Vegetarian recipes and, if you dare, meals prepared by me.
