I'm Pete and I'm originally from Kansas. I realized that I wasn't happy in Kansas nor droning away at my 9-5 job. I started applying to jobs in National Parks and now I'm hooked.

I've worked in Grand Canyon and Death Valley National Parks but my home is in Lake Tahoe, California.

I have aspirations of being a programmer. I know HTML, CSS, and learning Ruby on Rails.
I love listening to podcasts. Stuff You Should Know, 99% Invisible, and Gastropod are my favorite.

Hiked the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon under a full moon.
Watched the Blood Moon take full effect at the Grand Canyon.
EXPERIENCE THE DEATH VALLEY SUPERBLOOM! Seriously, who knew how amazing millions of flowers in the desert could be?
Spend the night in the middle of Badwater Basin under a full moon with someone I met 15 minute prior to leaving.
Recently, I watched a helicopter rescue in Desolation Wilderness. That was eyeopening.
