About Me

I am married for 2 years to my lovely wife and adventure partner. 3 years out of school with an engineering degree. I worked at a medical component manufacturer for a little over 2 years and was able to save up enough money with my wife to take a year (or more) off to travel the world and experience new places and cultures. We are currently 4 months unemployed and enjoying life!!!

I am a chill, easy going guy who just likes to explore new places and meet new people! I am clean and organized and happy to do the dishes or sweep the floor. I'm always happy to participate or help out with whatever is going on. I'm always open to and interested in new things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We always meet so many great travelers at home or on the road. CS is just a great way to make those connections even easier. I just love meeting new people and experiencing new places.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like listening to a bit of everything. Mostly country and alternative rock, but rock, pop, r&b, hip-hop, jazz, blues are all on my playlists.

I love action, drama, thriller, and comedy movies. I also tend to watch a lot of documentaries on the full spectrum of topics.

I like to listen to books on tape during drives and rides on public transit. Anything historical or is in some way adventurous is up my ally.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I like to hike a lot! Probably a bit more than what is sane...

I spent 3 weeks in the Sierra Nevada Mountains by myself hiking the Sierra High Route . 3/4 of the "route" has no trails, so there was a lot of "fun" scrambling through steep boulder, talus and scree field. At the end of the 3 weeks I hiked 225 miles, 40,000+ ft of elevation gain and 33 passes.

It was a crazy adventure and still one my favorite experiences.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm always happy to teach anyone about any outdoory, photography related, engineering related, or woodworking. I am happy to share any teach any of my passions.

I always love learning about different cultures and places.

I love sharing stories and photos galore! We have plenty of both!!!
