About Me
Hey guys! I'm a writer/photographer who has an avid passion for cooking and culinary history - I'm always at home in a kitchen, and I love learning about people and their stories. I'm headed to Sydney in September, and would love to swap some stories.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm here to meet the locals and get a more boots-on-the-ground perspective on the cities and countries I'm visiting. Sharing stories and adventures with new people and making new friends is something that matters a lot to me, along with being able to share the unique intimacy of cooking.
So if you want to share a cooking space, some stories, and some adventures, I'm the guy!
Interests
Right now, my focus in cooking is on Spanish and South American cooking culture. Although it's something that is easily brought up to North America, it is something that isn't really presented in other countries, so I'm trying to bring that to Australia and abroad.
I also enjoy writing - reviewing new gear that is sent to me, talking about my newest adventures, and even interviews that I've had with people. I would love to have the opportunity to create and share stories with people.
I also shoot photography as a bit of a side hobby. I'm not exactly the best at it, but it's something that helps stretch the artistic side of my mind.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite music is a bit of a hit or miss. From Mumford and Sons to Macklemore, if I like it, I'll listen to it, and if I don't, I'll tell you.
My latest obsession with movies/TV has been Stranger Things. I'm a bit of a horror movie/thriller lover, and would love people to watch scary movies with.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
So far, the only notable accomplishment has been jumping off a 15 foot cliff on a river.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach cooking, story telling, and new perspectives on life.
I would love to learn about sustainability, cultural differences, and anything else you'd like to share.
I can share my cooking with you, along with my stories and past adventures.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my cooking! Aside from that, I am a great listener when it comes to reminiscing stories and travels, and new perspectives and knowledge gained on those travels.
I'm also a bit of a handyman - I've worked in automotive repair and basic plumbing maintenance, so I can help build and repair things around the place.
