Hello! My name is Peter and I'm a 23-year-old from California. I just graduated from UC Berkeley in December 2023 with a degree in Conservation Ecology and a Minor in Forest Ecosystem Management. Currently, I'm taking some time off from school and work to travel around the UK and Europe and explore. I'm passionate about environmental science and spent the last summer in Yosemite National Park conducting Fire Ecology research. Some of my interests include camping, electronic music, tattoos, art, film photography, and swimming! I'm still not really sure how this website works but I'm looking forward to making connections during my travels. I know I don’t have any references or reviews, but I hope that doesn’t deter you from responding to me! I’m very new to this - we all start somewhere :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I discovered three new species of insects in the cloud Forests of Costa Rica! I spent three months in Monteverde doing a study abroad program centered around a big research project. During this, I was able to collect the first adult specimen of a previously undescribed predatory fungus gnat as well as two species of parasitoid wasps that were undescribed as well.

I am always interested in helping people learn English if they are interested. In the same vein, I'd love to learn some of the language that you speak! I can offer knowledge about the environment, ecology, and general ecosystem function. Additionally, I'd love to connect over electronic music and tattoos! those are two of the things I am most passionate about :)
