About Me

I'm interested in pop culture (Sci Fi, Japanese Anime). I enjoy swing dancing and now recently Fusion Dancing, playing tennis, eating delicious foods and new experiences!
Starting to learn the Ukelele and Guitar.
I'm into deep authentic discussions about almost anything.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it is a cool concept. We've hosted people (strangers) before and it was great experience getting to learn about other people and hearing their stories over a meal. I'd rather also spend money on treating my hosts to a nice dinner rather than spending it on a hotel. Or better yet, buy some groceries with them and cooking with them to make a nice meal and perhaps learn a recipe or two. I'm not allergic to doing dishes.

Interests

Interested in watching Japanese Anime (Nartuo, Bleach, Shogeki no Soma, World Trigger....). I grew up on Robotech, Star Wars, Star Trek. I'm into going to conferences and learning new things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the spring of 2012, I participated as lead developer with an app called San Diego Contraction App [http://devpost.com/software/san-diego-contraction-app]. , in an AT&T San Diego Apps Challenge mobile app contest. The inspiration for the app was my wife who at the time was pregnant with our third child. The app was designed to help track contractions to determine the optimal time to head to the hospital. Burning the midnight oil over the course of 2 months after the kids went to bed and feedback from my wife, I completed and submitted the app on time for a contest. Through tireless promotion of the app, it won second place in the popularity category of the contest which was based on votes.
