Overview
About Me
High, I'm Peter! I grew up in the suburban Twin Cities, but escaped as quickly as I could to Minneapolis, where I am majoring in Urban Studies (yes, I know) at the University of Minnesota. I'm an extremely easy-going person, I like to make people laugh, and I'm very friendly if a little shy at first.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm eager to explore all parts of the United States not just as a tourist but from the perspective of locals (also I totally can't afford to stay in hotels).
Most of the traveling I've done in the U.S. has been to natural parks and the like, which is awesome, but what I really want is to experience different cities and cultures besides the hockey-playing, lutefisk-omnomming, Spotted Cow-smuggling, Hawkeye-hating, Jesse Ventura-electing, "It's 17 degrees outside but dammit I'm wearing a t-shirt" one that I grew up in.
Interests
I love discovering all kinds of music, I watch a lot of television (good shows that are nuanced, clever, and worth watching–not reality or crappy sitcoms), as well as urban exploring, thrift shopping, being terrible at sports, watching and performing stand-up comedy, and above all hanging out with my friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
My music taste is ever-changing but today I listened to Lana Del Rey, The xx, R.E.M., Radiohead, Tame Impala, Spoon, and The Temper Trap.
My favorite movie at the moment is Inglourious Basterds, but I'm no stranger to obscure Mean Girls references.
I just started reading The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and it's amazing and I love it. Also World War Z (But not the movie. The movie can go fuck itself).
