I'm a master student in the field of medical physics. So I like science and all things sciency. I do love to try to any new experiences, whether it is meeting new people, trying new food or drinks or simply trying a new activity.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It turns out that one of the most interesting aspects of travelling is meeting the local wildlife. :P

Apart from my studies I enjoy various sports (biking, running, karate and windsurfing, whoo!), reading and doing random projects that seem like fun at the moment.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I'm pretty open minded here and almost everything can be found on my playlists - from Disney songs to progressive metal. Also classical music can be fantastic. Rachmaninov rocks.

Movies: Tarantino and his pants Rodriguez, Guy Ritchie, Akira Kurosawa. Also if it has music by either Hans Zimmer or John Williams I probably like it. I few years ago I started a mini project to see all the top 100 IMDB movies. I'm not quite there yet, but the list is getting shorter. :P

Books: A Song of Ice and Fire, Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy, Discworld series, Shogun, Alamut, Ender's game, various Aasimov and Lovecraft stories. Many others too. Books are awesome.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1) I've traveled the Trans-Mongolian railway from Moscow to Beijing.
2) Swimming with turtles. Tobago keys in the Caribbean, awesome place.
