Grewing up on the countryside in Austria, playing in the local brass marching band (drums) and being educated as a forest engineer, you can imagine i love nature and i am proud of the traditional austrian values i always try to represent and show other people - with hospitality being probably one of the most essential one amongst them.

Still, it was always drawing me towards big cities - places with a huge diversity of people, cultures and attitudes.
So I went to Zurich - actually just a stopover on my way out there - improving my skills as a barkeeper and sommelier. A job i really adore, get to know new people, making them having a good time and share stories- i mean, ANYTHING ELSE?

That being said, it´s obvious that i really like people, of any kind. Which does not mean, that i have no expectations on them.

✓ Whatever you do and what you wanna achieve, be passionate about it and go out and fu***** earn it.
✓ Let go of any fears, believes but also friends which drag you down - feel free
✓ Have an opinion and attitude and stand for it - being a bit edgy is ok
✓ Go out of your comfort zone - it´s the only way which enables personal growth

Since summer 2018 I live in Madrid, Spain. And I love it. I feel more connected to the Spanish culture than my own.
Living there I met a lot of people from South America. That's why I quit my job and booked the next flight to Peru. Let's see what the Quechua can teach me ;)

Что привело меня на Couchsurfing

It´s a pleasure to provide people with a place to sleep, food and nice drinks from our home bar. I just want them to enjoy the city and to exchange stories & travel experiences - you can learn so much from it.
I AM NOT HOSTING people, who are not willing to do so, who are more concerned with their phone as getting to know other people, who cant appreciate hospitality. Everybody´s time is precious.

Working aboard a luxurious private yacht, I travelled through East and Southeast Asia.
Having barbecues on remote, tiny philippine islands, exploring the night food markets in taiwan (including being quarantined because of eating the wrong snails or whatever), and much more

mixing high quality freshly made, old-fashioned as well as modern drinks and distributing them to the next nice people who come along and educating them about bar culture, wine aaand have fun together
ALL THIS on a fucking ironing board in parks, at the lakeside or whatever.
